Now in its sixth season, Listening with Landmarks features playlists by prominent Austin musicians and music personalities curated in response to works from the public art collection -- from Britt Daniel and Jackie Venson to Austin Symphony Conductor Peter Bay. Inspired by works from Landmarks’ collection, the playlists cut across musical genres to include rock, Classical, Tejano, R&B, reggae, country and more. One playlist is released each month on Landmarks' website, social media channels, and on Spotify.
In the following months, playlists will be released from 16-year-old social media star Noah Faulkner of Pedal Steel Noah; honky tonk musician Kathryn Legendre; Cuban-American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Goudie; husband and wife duo Daniel and Jenna Watters of The Watters; Southwestern Americana band West Texas Exiles; Rock & Roll band Half Dream; country artist Coleman Jennings; singer-songwriter Elijah Delgado; funk fusion collective Blue Tongue; Grammy award winning Latin funk orchestra Grupo Fantasma; New Orleans-style funk and jazz group Big Wy's Brass Band; Rock & Roll singer-songwriter Brian Wolff; Columbian-inspired power trio Nemegata; and indie rocker L.C. Franke.
Big Wy's Brass Band
This season of Listening with Landmarks continues with a playlist curated by New Orleans-style funk and jazz band Big Wy's Brass Band in response to Mark di Suvero's Clock Knot. The playlist includes songs by Steve Reich, Aphex Twin, and Cocteau Twins, among others.

The Watters
This season of Listening with Landmarks continues with a playlist curated by husband and wife duo, Daniel and Jenna Watters of The Watters in response to Raoul Hague's Big Indian Mountain. The playlist includes songs by Diego Fernandez, Braxton Cook, and The Beatles, among others.

Noah Faulkner of Pedal Steel Noah
The new season of Listening with Landmarks kicks off with a playlist curated by Noah Faulkner of Pedal Steel Noah in response to Eamon Ore-Giron’s Tras los ojos (Behind the Eyes). The 16-year-old is known for his unique pedal steel covers of 80s and ‘90s hits, which are featured on his wildly popular Instagram account. Noah is accompanied by his brother Nate, who plays bass, and their dog Kara. The duo was recently featured in Texas Monthly’s “Best Thing In Texas” and in the The New York Times.

Summer of KUTX - Summer 2024
Landmarks and KUTX have partnered to bring you curated playlists that will keep you cool all summer long! KUTX DJ’s Art Levy, Trina Quinn, Marnie Castor, and Taylor Wallace will share songs as part of Listening with Landmarks. Now in its fifth season, the program features playlists by Austin's music makers and shakers, inspired by works in Landmarks collection.
